Claire-Anne Magnollay was born in 1969. She is originally from La Côte, then later moved to Lavaux. She divides her time between teaching teenage schoolchildren, and the stories that she loves to listen to, read, dream up and... to tell. For Claire-Anne, storytelling is a chance to share special moments and imaginary adventures. Now for the first time, in the company of Kim, she has begun the writing of a "new" tale.

Kim Bachmann is of Swiss and Canadian ancestry, was born in 1969, and lives in Neuchâtel. She draws, and practises land art, as well as teaching the visual arts. She loves to create pencil drawings of natural shapes, to seek movement in a sculpture set in a forest, and delights in giving just the right expression to a character she is painting. She is often drawn to shared projects.

"The Giraffe's Eyelashes" is an album for children of all ages, from 6 to 106! It offers a moment of reflection about one's appearance, about the pleasure of dressing up and the joys of dressing down. An allusion to the idea of being of service to others, to jealousy, to genuine beauty and to the joy of simply existing. Rhythmic and sparkling with life, the text plays with the sound the words make; funny, unexpected and sometimes revived from forgotten times. The ink-pen drawings accentuate the characters' expressions. The typesetting plays with the images.
