Since she was very young, Gigi has loved everything creative, through drawing and painting. As a teenager she was first trained in hairdressing, including the drawing of hairstyles, portraits, enlargements and different techniques such as Indian ink, charcoal, pencil drawing or water-based painting.
She then took lessons in watercolours. Her creativity continued as she discovered how to model with different materials such as salt paste, wood paste, or clay.
A few years later she went back to retrain as a teacher of very young children, at the IPGL school in Lausanne. This job enabled her to share her know-how with the children, including the pleasure of creativity which for this age-group is all about the discovery of different materials.
In 2009 she discovered how to make jewellery from silver paste. Then in 2012, from wax, as well as the "Filigrane de Russie" technique.
These last three techniques enabled her to use various different materials, and to illustrate her ideas in drawings.
In 2013, she trained in the drawing of jewellery, in 2014 she went to Montreux to learn how to set precious stones, and in 2016 she took lessons in metal smelting and in various techniques such as those using sand, stones, or the centrifuge. Then in 2017, a course in lithotherapy to help her better understand the power of stones.
